VIVA EASTPART
Valorisation and ImproVing of management of Small Historic Centres in the EASTern PARTnership region
VIVA_EASTPART relies on a comparative analysis of cultural systems, instruments, experiences and procedures used throughout Europe, providing project partners with an approach to long term planning and cultural policy making that has already been put to the test. Such instruments are to be adapted to the specific context of each region (Hârtibaciului Valley - Romania, Cahul District - Republic of Moldavia, Tavush Region - Armenia), according to VIVA_EASTPART methodology. Thematic seminars will conclude the main outcomes.
Objectives:
-
To elaborate shared and innovative orientations and methodologies for the enhancement and reinforcement of Small Historic Centre and Landscape Systems that could guarantee the enhancement of existing values, but also the creation of new ones.
-
To boost the construction of Small Historic Centre and Landscape Systems to draw up Action Plans, Integrated Revitalisation Pilot Projects and promoting local actors’ participation in conceiving and validating integrated actions of heritage valorisation.
-
To promote the development of new economic activities and services for the valorisation and enhancement of cultural and natural heritage in the Eastern Partnership area.
-
To network the experiences and development initiatives in the region.
Not only did the project activities contribute to the dissemination of good practices, but they also eased collaboration among partners by setting common goals for them, such as identifying and solving similar problems in different areas of the network and defining operational tools for such purposes, elaborating the Methodology and the Action Plans, respectively. Both aim to generate sustainable development strategies towards safeguarding, preserving and valorising cultural and natural heritage in rural areas of the Eastern Partnership region.
The resulted methodology can be adapted to various territorial contexts and can ensure a functional way of stimulating local resource development.
